Underwater Trees

Live

Plant saplings below the surface – without weird hacks. Underwater Trees keeps placement safe, respects land-protection plugins and makes sure underwater saplings actually grow.

Features

  • You decide what grows

Soil and sapling allowlists define exactly which trees may grow underwater.

  • Nine tree types

Oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, pale oak, cherry and poplar – dark and pale oaks even grow with their full trunk.

  • Stability guard

Flowing water and physics updates no longer wash away saplings sitting on an allowed soil.

  • Protection & permissions

Saplings are only placed where the target really is water. Protection plugins can veto placement and growth, and a permission turns underwater planting off per player or group.

  • Light override

Optionally, saplings grow where vanilla would be too dark – all the way down to the pitch-dark deep-sea floor.

  • Live reload

The config watcher picks up changes automatically and merges new defaults.

  • Update checker

Checks Modrinth and Hangar and reminds ops about new versions on join.

  • 14 languages

All texts are MiniMessage-powered, so you can recolour and restyle them freely.

Behind krœt.net

Moin, I'm Sebastian.

I’m originally from the Baltic coast and now live between the Swabian Jura and the Black Forest. The “Moin” – northern Germany’s all-purpose hello – came along with me, and I use it at any time of day. I grew up with computers and tech, trained as a media designer and then spent a few years working in IT and customer service.

I’ve been using AI models since day one – for programming just as much as for creative inspiration. I also run a web radio station. Anything else? Coffee always works, so do sunflowers, my colours are purple and yellow – and I have a real soft spot for turtles.
